Agenda

• Proposed Goals:
  • Reading: Increase the amount of students at or above benchmark from BOY to EOY by 5% per grade, 8% for the school.
  • Math: Increase the composite score of students at or above benchmark from BOY to EOY by 5% per grade, 8% for the school.
  • Language: Using the language outcomes,  students will increase their HFW data from BOY to EOY by 5% per grade,  8% for the school.
• Data discussion for K and 1st grade:
  • Students that start K in red (well below benchmark),  even after progressing to blue in K, will often start 1st grade at red.  What can we do to help the slide?  Andrea proposed a PTC in the spring for K parents to educate parents and to share materials that can be used over the summer.
• How can we support our goals:
  • Reading support proposals:
    • Substitutes for PTC’s and Planning Days- $9,000
    • Renaissance Program (STAR, STAR Early Literacy, AR,etc.)- $5,000
    • Books for School Wide Reading- $8,000
    • Supplies for Knowledge Building Curriculum- $15,000
    • Get Epic Reading Program
    • Technology for Progress Monitering- $2,000
    • Instructional Assisstants- $40,000
  • To add to this year’s expenditures:
    • Decodables for lower grades- $5,000
    • Schoolwide Communication Folder- $1,500
  • Math support proposals:
    • Dance?- Possibly increase from $15,000 to $35,000
    • Math Manipulatives and Supplies- $5,000
    • Stipend for one member of Guiding Coalition- $1,500
    • Instructional Assistants
    • PBIS Incentives- $1,000
    • Professional Learning- $3,000
    • Iceberg and Training for Math
    • Meet the Masters
  • Language support proposals:
    • RAZ Kids Plus- $2,500
    • Instructional Assistants
    • Supplies for Routines- $3,000
    • Spanish Classes for teachers? (Maybe we could get LIA from the Highschool to help)
