• Digital Safety (10 minutes)
  • Students are instructed yearly in computer prep class. Common sense.org is used. Courses are broken up by grade, and all parents have access to the courses being taught by logging on to the website.
• Hiring of Aides Update
  • One Portuguese speaking aide has been hired and will start in January. There are still aide hours available and an E2 instructor position open.
• Safe Routes (15 minutes)
  • We need to update the map - Katie will drive the neighborhood to provide current information on what is there. Once all approved, we’d like to have the city add an additional crosswalk on the southeast corner of the school and additional school zone signs on the street.
• Public Input (10 minutes)

  Is there a way to support teachers who teach a second language? (Portuguese, and Spanish). When these teachers have subs, (long term is the biggest worry), there is limited support for the students to keep progressing in their languages. It can be hard to find quality aides. How can we encourage people to apply?

  Is there potential to build a relationship along these lines with USU to provide support that could benefit Hillcrest but also support the goals USU has for its students?
